EXA Infrastructure and Ultranet have signed an agreement to build a fully diversified, high-performance fibre route approximately 175 kilometres in length to enhance connectivity between Milan and Genoa. The project will also extend EXA's Genoa metro network to connect all existing cable landing stations (CLS). Once completed, EXA will offer an open submarine cable landing platform and five separate routes from Genoa, providing connectivity from both the Genoa CLS, Lagaccio and Equinix GN1.
Ultranet is an independent carrier-to-carrier operator and owner of fibre infrastructure, operating a network of over 12,000 kilometres across Italy.
